Police received no report from the scene of the Querencia Los Cabos accident of March 25, 2025, when a truck struck a golf cart carrying one adult and three children on Boulevard Querencia, in San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. According to the police reports, municipal traffic police had no record of the crash when C2, a command and monitoring center, reported it at 12:54 p.m. The records show that the authorities learned of the accident through Hospital H+ Los Cabos, whose notice to prosecutors is timed 12:20 p.m., and not through Querencia's staff.

No report from the scene

The crash happened at about 10:15 a.m. on March 25, 2025. A RAM 700 truck bearing Querencia markings struck the golf cart from behind, and a 5-year-old girl was thrown from the cart.

According to the police reports, municipal traffic police had no report of the crash when C2 reported it at 12:54 p.m. on March 25, 2025.

How the hospital's report reached the police

The girl was admitted to Hospital H+ Los Cabos at about 10:40 a.m., accompanied by her father and by the club's doctor. Her diagnosis and care are covered in what happened on March 25, 2025, and what the hospital records show.

From there, the records show a chain of notices. The hospital's notice to the state Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público), the authority that investigates crimes, is timed 12:20 p.m. The hospital reported the case through C2, and municipal police responded to that report at 12:54 p.m. Officers went to the hospital and notified the prosecutors' early-attention unit (Unidad de Atención Temprana), which in turn alerted investigative police (Policía de Investigación).

  • 12:26 p.m., March 26, 2025: the truck is inspected at a body shop, according to its inspection record.

Where the truck was inspected

According to a police report dated March 27, 2025, the development's head of security told a state investigator that a tow truck had taken the truck to a body shop moments after the accident. The records cited do not say who ordered the tow.

The truck was inspected at 12:26 p.m. on March 26, 2025, at a body shop, not at the scene of the crash. Its inspection record notes damage to the front of the truck: the grille, bumper, hood and front frame.

The golf cart was inspected at 6:23 p.m. on March 25, 2025, in the club's parking lot; its inspection record places the impact at the rear of the cart.
